Even Rohan frowned and tensed at the imagery drawn through his mind. It was unpleasant and he felt glad that this woman before him had escaped. He only knew friends of friends with a dragon companion. Few came near the underwater city of Miromara. Fewer to nine were as vile was that pictured now.
"I didn't want to be rude," Rohan said sheepishly as he turned over onto his front, propped on his hands. "But I could use a fresh breath about now. I like to pretend I'm cool but I would be lying if I said my lungs didn't sting a little. Jump on in whenever you're ready." He gave her a grin before disappearing into the water and circling around under the crystal surface. He seemed relieved and his chest expanded in deep breaths, streams of water and bubbles releasing as he exhaled. As he circled he reminded himself not to get too ahead of himself, smoothing his hands down his chest and front of his tail with a laugh. She was pretty, no doubt, but she had more to offer than those looks and potential fangs and he would respect that.
