"Yeah, yeah," he said, absent-mindedly. Tom seemed fine.
It did not take him long to fetch the bandages. He quickly cleaned his arm of the blood and wrapped the wound in the soft fabric. He hurried his way through the process. His t-shirt was replaced with one he had dumbed earlier during the day. The food stains the kids had so artistically placed there were preferable to the blood of the new one. Thankfully, the house was still warm enough for t-shirts.
"Yeah, look, brand new outfit," Tom said as he reappeared in the kitchen area.
