Who: Micha
Where: Jedi Temple Gardens
What: Meditation on the disturbances in the Force
When: Saturday morning
Rating: TBD, probably low
Open: Yes please
Status: Thread

Micha sat quietly on soft grass in the temple gardens, surrounded by the living Force generated by greenery in the full bloom of Spring. Her legs were crossed underneath her and eyes closed as she meditated on the disquiet in the Force.

Off in the distance she could feel the malevolence of the being in the Spire, reeking of the dark side. The temple stood behind her, a bastion of the light. It wasn't as strong as it had been in the time she'd come from, there were far fewer Jedi in this time, but she had faith that it would grow. It would grow if they successfully navigated the storm she could feel brewing, that was. Something was about to happen, what she couldn't quite put her finger on. As her old master once said the future was always changing, how it would change was impossible to see for certain.

She felt someone enter the gardens and waited to see if they approached or went their own way. If they were here to meditate as well she didn't want to disturb them.

When he had head toward the gardens to sit he had not expected anyone to be there. He had been halfway there, practically through the door, before noticing the presence of another. He debated turning around and going elsewhere. The interactions with Micha were not unpleasant so much as they forced him to face conversations, topics, and obstacles he would rather do privately. Even with Kytana, many things he chose to side step and work on by himself. Often upon reflection he was unsure if he was embarrassed by the emotions he had come to have after having so long felt but a singular, angry drive filled with revenge or if he simply, truly, was unsure how to handle them and did not have the will to ask.

Today he might just find out the answer. Micha certainly knew how to push his buttons--but she was also wise and as much as he hated to admit it he should not overlook that.

So he took a seat quietly nearby, a two person's distance between them, and breathed deep. He wore his typical black robes, though they seemed better suited toward the heat and made out of a lighter material than that of the thick, hard garb he had arrived in.

"Master," he finally said by way of greeting and left it at that. Cordial but not pleasant. Kylo Ren was not sure he knew how to be pleasant.

Micha opened her eyes, having sensed Kylo's arrival and studied him for a moment both in the Force and what she could see with her own eyes. The young Force User was a contradiction, torn between the dark and the light. A one time Jedi apprentice as well as an aspiring Sith, it was a wonder he hadn't gone insane by the time he arrived on the island.

But she could think of no-one better suited to be his Master than Kytana, the former Darth Revan. If anyone could help him see the error of his ways it was she. And it seemed that finding himself attached to young Heather had done him a world of good as well. She couldn't help but be privately amused and pleased at his request for the young woman to come live at the Temple, it revealed more about how he'd changed in the past year than she was sure he cared to admit.

"Kylo Ren." Micha nodded in return, her tone warm. His black robes had to be more uncomfortable in the early summer heat than the cream silk tunics and leggings she wore, but he gave no visible sign of discomfort. "How are you today? Well I trust?"

He had already admit to himself the changes, though he did not like them. Only this past week had he said something to Heather which he never expected himself to say. It was beyond him, really, to have gone so far. Yet, here he was. His falsifying training had not gone as planned. He only wanted to survive without insanity--not be torn apart by the other Jedi. Kylo Ren was vain if not vindictive but he was not foolish enough to take on Kytana, let alone Micha, Sunila, and the rest of the temple. So he had simply tried to fake it.

In the end he was becoming a grey area he did not approve of and yet he couldn't recall ever feeling such happiness.

"Yes," he replied with a vague nod. "How are you?"

Honestly Micha approved more of the Grey than either Light or Dark. Or perhaps it was better to say that the Order of her era had demanded more sacrifice and denial of emotion of its' members than was wise. One should embrace emotions, but be mindful not to let them overwhelm good judgement when it came to others.

Jedi were guardians of peace and justice and all that entailed, yes, but they were still sentients with emotions and needs. After so long here on the island she was more certain than ever that the Order back on Coruscant in her time had lost its way.

Kylo's happiness was evident through the Force, and she was more than pleased for him. "That's good, I'm glad to hear it. I'm well, thank you. Acclimated being back in the past, I think." It had taken quite a bit of meditation and communion with the Force to let go of her sense of loss, as well as the guilt of being secretly relieved.

At least being back in the past she wouldn't have to see her children die of old age.

"And how is Heather? I trust she's settled in?" She doubted Kylo would waste any time once he'd gotten approval to bring his lady friend to the Temple.

In a world with so few Jedi, mostly at his own doing it would seem, Kylo Ren was not inclined to agree. Yet, here he was. Though as he had been about to attempt other conversations she asked him about Heather and he sighed audibly.

"She is well and moving her things in. I have no concern now for her safety as the Force trembles." He said as regally as he could in that deep timbre, though he did no look to Micha. He supposed he could not go five minutes without talking about it for a while--he was the bad boy with the good girl, or something like that.

Micha raised an eyebrow at his reaction. Perhaps she should not have asked the question, but it would have felt rude not to inquire. "Then I'm glad she is somewhere you won't have to feel concerned about her safety." If he didn't want to talk about it then she would respect his wishes, for the moment.

"I was meditating on that very thing." She shook her head. "Trying to discern what is coming, and the will of the Force. It has been rather difficult, wouldn't you agree?"

He was simply not prepared to handle such conversations. It was difficult for him, after all. So he nodded at Micha in agreement, for he was truly glad that Heather would be safe. With her somewhere out of the way, should things turn for the worse, he would not have to worry about her while he fought.

"I can't say I can get a read on anything," Kylo Ren confessed with a sour tone, disappointed in his own great skill. He had always had such a gift and now it was failing him in spite of his changes for the better.

"I have concern and disdain for those that are moving forward with some secret meeting. Master was not pleased with how she was being treated by some child who thinks she knows best because she has blood-thirst." His expression soured further. He knew that feeling well and would sooner act upon it than not given his short temper.

"I have not been invited to whatever round table she thinks she's created, that Master is no longer a part of, but I am certain she is the cause for the change in Force."

"I'm sure Katherine had her reasons." Micha replied mildly. Whether they were good ones Micha couldn't say. Perhaps it was time she had a talk with the young woman. Secrecy was all well and good, but her plans, whatever they were, had the potential to kill them all.

"Kytana was...not herself, at the time when they were making plans." Letting the man play with her mind. Trapped in fear, in loneliness, and loss. Micha understood the last two all too well, but refused to let them stop her. "Now that she's better if Katherine doesn't wish to include her, perhaps that's the will of the Force."

She studied the young man's face quietly for a moment, reaching out with the Force as well. "Perhaps by not having Katherine include us, the Force is pointing us to a different path we must walk instead." She offered.

"To be a true servant of the Force you must listen for it's will, seek its guidance, be ready to act when it commands. Even if you have only an instant's notice before that action is necessary. Too many on both the Light and Dark sides have forgotten this and seek to use it only for their own benefit."

Kylo nodded as he got back up, unable to sit around and meditate as that temper within him started to shake itself up. He paced on heavy booted feet, jaw clenched tightly along with his fists.

"Sitting around is what gets us killed," he argued. "I won't die by her foolish hand.

"That child is going to be the cause of devastation; I have left enough bodies in my wake to recognize the storm before it strikes." More heavy pacing, eyes sharp as daggers and dark as space glowering around the room. The garden was too beautiful for his wretched past and yet with the way he spoke there was caring, concern for others than himself. Of course Kylo Ren would not admit aloud his worry for others; he would only state it was worry for himself.

After all, he had to survive, too.
