For the first time in Tom's stay here, he regretted the absence of a legal system. Why didn't they have any rules for this kind of thing? They should have this kind of thing, shouldn't they? There needed to be rules. He was no executioner and the wound about their loss were not torn open by shock anymore. But they wouldn't be able to heal until this was out of the way.
When he heard JR's voice, he pushed away the book he had failed to concentrate on. He was almost surprised to see the other man standing there. Tom couldn't believe that that was him. The man was... too human looking. He had wanted to see a monster. His shoulder was blood soaked. A fight. Tom got angry.
"Did he attack you?" he asked towards his son before confronting the man himself. "Did you attack my son as well?"
