His Christine was still very young, a bit naive, but Erik didn't mind one bit. He was rather pleased by the fact the girl seemed to be nervous around him like a young woman would be with her lover. Thankfully the feel of his fingers running through her long hair were a comfort for his angel and he pulled her further into his side, protectively and possessively, enjoying the way he felt when Christine was this close to him.
"There are many things in the world you would not believe unless you saw them. So many that existed long before now," he told her softly, dipping his head down so his lips moved against the strands of her auburn locks.
He wanted to tell her about his travels, everything he had learned, everything he had seen and experienced, but when she admitted she suddenly felt ill, a sudden shock of worry came over the man. Erik ducked down, catching his arm beneath her knees while his other steadied her back, making it simple for him to sweep her off her feet to be cradled against his chest. He glanced up at the indicator lights at the top of the door, then dark eyes went back to his lover's face. "We're almost there, Christine. Just close your eyes."
