Feeling her giving into his kiss with a pleasant shiver going through her small body, Erik wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her in as close as she could get to him, his mouth pressing more firmly onto her own softer one in the process. As innocent as he was when it came to intimacy, the man pulled his head back from hers after a moment more, a smile coming to his lips right afterwards, one that was warm and sweet and so very rare for the man. He was happy. For the first time in his life he was truly happy and it was all thanks to Christine.
"I love you," he suddenly whispered in a tone that was shaking slightly with nervousness, the unmasked part of his face relaxing and making him look so much younger than he was--but inside, Erik was still a child, eager for the affection he had been denied since he came from his mother's womb and she refused to look at him, disgusted with what she'd given birth to. Christine had once been afraid of him too, but that fear had turned to love and passion.
"I love you, Christine," Erik repeated strongly, looking deeply into her green eyes with his own that had once reflected his bitterness and loneliness. He moved back a step and took hold of both of her chilled hands in his larger ones, rubbing his thumbs along her flesh like he could quickly warm the woman up. "Say you'll share with me one love...one lifetime... Lead me, save me from my solitude. Say you want me with you, here beside you...," he sang softly to her with a voice full of emotion, ducking his head.
