"No, right," Summer agreed, trying really hard to suppress her look of glee. She knew, from reading The Hobbit, that Thorin Oakenshield probably wouldn't appreciate her fangirling all over him and she thought it would be really mean of her to just come out and tell him that he was fictional in her world. If he was supposed to find out, she was sure he'd do it in his own time. For now, though, she would just be content to squee internally at the fact that she was living on an island with one of her favorite fictional characters. Even Summer, who was used to weird in her life, hadn't expected this turn of events.
"Sorry, I haven't seen then," Summer said, lifting her hand to push her hood back off of her head. "And you couldn't get away from here even if you wanted to." She gave a sad little shrug. "We're all trapped here, just the same. But it's not too bad when you get used to it." She was actually beginning to like living on the island, despite the near constant arguments over differing opinions and the tendency for weird, magical shit happening without warning. She still missed her dad, brother and friends but she knew they'd be alright without her (if the island even allowed them to notice she was gone) and she liked the feeling of freedom living and surviving on her own gave her.
"Summer," she replied with a big, friendly smile. "I'm Summer."
