“If nothing else she’s adorable.” Tony couldn’t keep the smile off his face as he watched Harri. “And she might come into it later. You never know.” He walked over to the tray of food and grabbed a small bag of chips, opening it up and eating a couple. “Right now, she’s just having fun, as kids do.”
-----
Sarah smiled. “She is. She is going to be a stunner too. I mean who wouldn’t fall for those big brown eyes?” She sat back on the table. “That’s very true. I mean I didn’t cultivate mine until after I was here the first time. And while they weren’t dormant, I just didn’t use them.” So that could be the case with Harri.
------
Tony smirked. “I know all about the power of big brown eyes.” He put his hands under his chin and batted his eyelashes, then shook his head. “I’ve been doing a lot of scans on the island and I think I’ve actually managed to pick up a magical signature of sorts. If you want to know for sure.” He had a pretty good idea that it would work but it hadn’t been completely tested yet.
-----
Sarah chuckled softly. He hadn’t been the only one that had the power of big brown eyes, in her life. Besides Harri. “Well, it wouldn’t hurt. Why not?” She shrugged. It wouldn’t be a big deal either way. If Harri was magic, or if she wasn’t. She was still her beloved daughter, and she was sure Harry felt the same way. Nothing would change that.
------
Tony went over to one of the banks of computer screens at one side of the lab. He pushed a few buttons on the screen. After a couple of seconds he looked at Harri and then pushed another button. The readout appeared on a screen not far from Sarah as well as in front of Tony.
“Well, it looks like she’s magic but it’s not very powerful.” Tony walked over and pointed to part of the readout. “I think this is something she’s going to grow into. Looks like it’ll get stronger as she gets older.” He nodded.
------
Sarah wasn’t sure what she was seeing with the readout, at first. But when he pointed it out, her jaw dropped. “Holy crap, this is… Tony this is absolutely genius. You could absolutely use it for more than just the kids… But like, when we get new people here and everybody is like ‘Uuuuh I don’t know, they’re kind of creepy’.” She giggled softly. Because she was sure no one really felt that way about anyone, even though they probably should.
She looked at the readout of Harri again. “But to be honest, it doesn’t surprise me. Both you doing something genius level, and her being magic.”
