“Then if something blows up, it blows up.” He shrugged again. There were days when he was perfectly okay with the idea of Dummee being blown up. It was, after all, why he’d named the robot that. You, on the other hand, was a little more valuable to him.
“I mean….I’ve already pissed him off a lot as it is.” He chuckled. “He’d come after me more than you, I think. And you don’t even know half the stuff I’ve done in the name of science.”

Sarah wasn’t sure how she would move forward, but now she had a guiding point. Something to aim at. And that was better than what she’d had.
“Oh, I know. Who do you think has been my scientific Idol most of my life?” She smiled at him. “But.. If we do anything, it’s best done right. With a very well thought out plan.” She picked up one of the sandwiches, randomly deciding which one. “Besides, maybe with me doing something against him… It would be new. It isn’t exactly like he or the girl brought me back in time. I brought myself.”
------
Tony nodded and crossed his arms as he thought. “I don’t usually have a thought out plan, so that’ll be a first.” He had a tendency to just have a half thought out plan and a ‘we’ll see what happens’ attitude toward any of his experiments. “You have any of the data from that, by the way? I’m curious how you did it.”
-------
“Oh I have all of it, ‘failed’ and successes. But is anything ever really failed as long as it’s written down?” To her it was all science. All for a cause. “I’ll even let you play with that.” She nodded toward the crystal. “Just be careful. Expect an explosion. I generally do.” She took a healthy bite out of the sandwich in her hands. She wasn’t hungry not really, but she felt like she was running on fumes.
------
“It’s like Thomas Edison said. He didn’t have a thousand failed experiments. He learned a thousand ways to not make a lightbulb.” He grinned. That’s the way Tony always looked at it. “I think I’ll leave the crystals alone for now. Curiosity might get the better of me, though.” He chuckled.

“My favorite is Adam Savage saying the difference between screwing around and Science, is writing it down.” It a few moments she finished the mystery sandwich. Barely taking in the flavor, and more taking in the sustenance of it. Though when she had to lick the peanut butter off of her fingers, she did smile at him. A comfort food. And one that would stick to her ribs for a little while, if not the roof of her mouth. Once her mouth wasn’t full of food she continued. “Just be sure to get behind the shield before you set off anything for any reaction. It’s Harry Dresden proof.” She pointed to the clear casing that her daughter was behind.
