James had done as Kerry suggested and as soon as they were able to get back to the city he went straight to the hospital. The doctor had kept him in isolation for 24 hours until he could run his various tests. It seemed that Dr. Morgan wasn't afraid of getting sick himself, but he wanted to make sure nothing had to chance to spread to the rest of the island. Once James was cleared of anything, and told that there was no way he'd be able to get sick for future reference, he left the hospital.

He actually took his time going home. He did worry about the twins. They'd had to deal with his disappearance once before, so he knew they'd be okay. And he knew they'd be happy to see him. He wasn't sure how he was going to explain the return of his arm. There was a little bit of him that was actually very happy that the bright red Soviet star was gone from his shoulder. And he was glad that he still had the sensation that Hope had gifted him.

James walked along the pathway leading to the front door of the mansion. He wasn't really sure why he was so nervous. He hadn't done anything within his control that would hurt Laura. He hadn't even been sure of who he was at the time, and he didn't know if anything actually did happen. There was a nagging at the back of his mind, though. Something telling him that something had happened. Once he got to the front door he just stood there. It was a little ridiculous since he knew that Laura would know he was there. He couldn't hide from her, not that he wanted to. And yet, he couldn't quite bring himself to enter the mansion. To actually walk into the home they shared. That same nagging at the back of his mind was keeping him from just opening the door.
