Mouse was a little tired of being miserable. Especially since she was doing it to herself. She'd spent most of her time in her room, though she'd ventured out to get presents for her parents and the kids. While she was out and about she stumbled across something that was absolutely perfect for Matt. She didn't bother to wrap it, she just took the box and headed over to his place, knocking on the door. Even with the abilities that he did have, there were limitations and she knew that he'd need help with it.

Matt hadn't been expecting anyone-he'd taken to the bad habit of keeping to himself for a while now, hardly leaving his apartment other than to do rounds of the city at night. So he was actually a little surprised when the doorbell rang, having expected whoever was walking through the halls to be headed somewhere else. He quickly grabbed a robe off the door of his bedroom and slid it on over his boxer shorts and old tshirt before walking through the rest of the apartment and pulling open the door. "Mouse." he greet softly.

"Um..hi." She smiled. She found herself suddenly nervous but not in the way she'd been before. This was different. "I...I brought you something. While I was out getting stuff for my parents I found this thing that makes any TV voice activated." She cleared her throat, running her fingers through her hair. "I thought maybe I could hook it up for you..."

"Oh. Wow, um...yeah come in." he stepped out of the doorway and held it open for her. "That was really thoughtful." He could all but smack himself as he shut the door behind her. "I uh, I didn't get you anything. Or anyone anything really." he admit, rubbing the back of his neck.

"It's no problem." She nodded and stepped inside, then she chuckled softly. "It's okay, really. If I'm honest, I wasn't planning on getting you anything but when I saw it, I thought it would help." She went over to the TV and started to hook everything up. "It's got a special remote that only has one button. You just push it and then talk."

"It's still real sweet." He stood awkwardly for a minute, 'watching' her work, before he shook his head a little, pulling himself to his senses. "Can I at least get you a coffee or something?"

"Do you have tea?" She wasn't much of a coffee drinker. Especially since she didn't need much in the way of sleep anyway. She grabbed the TV remote so she could do the final touches of setting everything up.

"Yes, I think so." He told her, not really sure why he even had the tea, it had been one of those things that showed up in the apartment on it's own. He went to the kitchen and made two cups. He favored coffee but didn't dislike tea either and it was easier just to make one. He pulled a seldom-used tray out from under the stove and set the cups along with his jug of milk and a bowl of sugar out on it. He carried it out to the living are and set it down on his coffee table. "Do you need any help?"

"It's really simple to set up. Just had to plug the thing into one of the HDMI ports and then do some stuff with your TV remote." Everything was done by the time he got done making the tea. She took the new remote over to him and took his hand, placing it in his palm. "One big button and then you can talk to it. Wanna test it out?"

"Wow, Foggy always made it seem like this sort of stuff was so much more complicated." he joked, taking the remote from her. He felt over the small remote for a moment, just so he was familiar with it, and then pressed the button with his thumb, held it a little closer to his mouth and said "Channel fifty."

"I've noticed that some guys do that to make themselves feel really important." Mouse chuckled as she added some sugar to her tea. She grinned when the TV channel changed. "You should be able to even turn it on and off."

"He was always particularly good at that." He smiled a little, trying not to miss his friend too much. He'd moped enough over the holiday. He pushed the little button again, "Power off." he smiled a bit when the tv switched off, "That's really great, thank you, again."

"My brother does the same thing." There was the tiniest little hint of sadness in her voice, but she just cleared her throat and nodded. "Like I said, it's no problem."
