Kerry had been able to find some appropriate clothes, or at least appropriate to what she saw as her time and station. The regular Kerry would be shocked to see herself dressed as a medieval queen. And yet it was somehow fitting - she had served as Jason's queen as he ruled over Wayward Pines. She had no memory of any of that life now. She truly believed that she was Jame's wife, a noble queen separated from her homeland.
She held a basket in her hand and was carefully gathering berries. It was hardly the meal fit for a king that she wished to provide to her beloved James. It would have to suffice. She hadn't wanted to take too much of the food in the strange buildings, so much of it was very different from the food of her times. The forest was full of all types of beasts, and she didn't dare to venture too far inside either. So she was stuck with what she could find where she was. It made her miss her loyal servants even more and she would would be sure to thank them all for their service, when she returned. If she returned. They'd been on this strange island for too long. Despite James' assurances, she had her doubts which she kept to herself. She mustn't question him. She'd be the dutiful wife and strong, dignified queen instead.
Kerry was pulled out of her thoughts heard footsteps approaching and turned quickly to see who was there, with her head held high.
