Luke came inside. "I do have to admit I'm still not entirely used to cold weather. I'm a desert boy, never even saw real rain until I left home, let alone snow." he said.
"I'm okay, I think. How are you both?" He'd had the Force to help him, but they had only their natural skills and everything. "He didn't hurt either of you right?"
He nodded. "Yes, it is. It's been a lot to get used to. Different worlds, different times...it's remarkable, really. It does look like you're very lucky to be together...I've made a few friends, but am mostly alone here for right now."
Kate nodded. "We are. It's a weird mix of feelings, really. It's a lot to take in, but in a way, it's nice...Parnell wasn't the only dangerous thing back home. It's a little safer here. Easier to relax."
"That's good for you, then." Luke replied. "I know what that can be like at times. It's sad that beings still have situations like that."
