Maggie giggled. "Thank you." She did wonder if he'd feel the same way if he saw her in her hard hat, work belt and steeled-toe boots. "My foster family worked in carpentry and construction. Their last name was even Carpenter. I learned from them." She explained. She had picked up the skills, hoping to carry on the business, as Micheal had an even harder time with his partial blindness and limp as he aged.
"Yes." Maggie agreed. "It makes me wonder if the island's never heard of chilling out over a cup of coffee." They'd missed the steps of getting to know each other, but maybe there was still time.
