Maggie nodded, still looking at the dogs. Even discounting her trouble childhood, she'd met men who couldn't handle women on construction sites and jerks that assumed she wasn't American because of her skin colour; she'd used words with them that were anything but gentle. "I can understand that. " She glanced over at him. "Who's Jack? A friend?"
Maggie wondered if she should look away when he mentioned eye contact. Or if that would be obvious, making him self-conscious. "I only find that uncomfortable if it's because someone can't look any higher than my breasts." She commented with a bit of chuckle. "Which sounds silly when I think about how I reacted to you when we met." She hadn't stared directly at his crotch, thank goodness, but her thoughts had not been pure that night. Thor's arrival gave her an excuse to look away, watching the dog take a break. "I..uh..I don't normally go directly to the physical."
