Especially since he was much older than she was, and with all his failings, he hardly had the make of a good partner. Especially when he needed his time away from everything and everyone, except Abigail. And the dogs of course.
Toby and Thor were off leash, bounding around the park, finding one smell after another to cover up with their own. Will had settled down on one of the swings to watch them. Ready with water, and treats should they begin to look tired. He also had a thermos filled with one of the nicer brews he had at home. Home roasted, home ground, and with a touch of nutmeg and hazelnut. He hoped she wouldn't mind the added flavors. He figured with the added sweetness, that cream and sugar could be left out, as they were harder to carry.
It was hard to miss the tall beautiful young woman, as she entered the park. He waved her over, a slight smile softening his face.
