Who: Sunila and open!
What: Pyre
When: Monday evening. (People can thread helping her set up during the day too)
Where: The beach.
Warnings: Probably none. Will update if needed.
Open: Yes, to many threads, subthreads, etc.

Sunila had done her best to follow Obi-Wan's example from the pyre last year. She had chosen the same spot he used and once the wood was arranged high, she had set stones around it as he had done. Anyone who arrived while she was still working on it was invited to help her. Once it was done, she made sure everyone felt welcome to add something to the pyre. For her part, she had taken pictures around the island of places she thought Rey and Finn would have enjoyed seeing and she had written a letter to Master Obi-wan, expressing how much she missed his wisdom. She placed on the pyre among the other objects.

Once all the contributions had been added to the pyre, she stood back as Adele lit the pyre with an arrow. She watched the flames and remembered her missing friends.

Rarity hadn't said a word since she arrived at the pyre maybe thirty or so minutes prior, save for a gracious 'hello' to those that bid it of her. Strength came from a place inside that she felt had been shut up, wrapped in chains, and locked away. Yet in that box there was a hole, small though it was, that seeped a small leak of hope and happiness for others.

She was eternally grateful that her daughter need not suffer her own fate, though she wondered what she had done to deserve it. In the end, she agreed with herself to say 'goodbye' and move on from sorrow. Surely, it's what Art would have wanted. He hated to see her upset, after all.

The boutique owner stood in the sand with bare feet and a long summery dress made of a soft, flowing cotton blend. Printed upon it seemed a smearing of color as if to mimic the sunset and one might wonder if it were not symbolic of closing a chapter in life, the same way the sun set on one day and rose into anew light. Rarity fiddled with her wedding band, the heels of her hand sort of propped against the handle of her children's stroller--made special with large wheels for the sand. It seemed practical given their home was on the beach, after all.

Rarity, and Amy

Amy had arrived at the beach, dressed in black. It wasn't to mourn, it was to honour the black panther in her father. She wore a simple shamrock pin as well, for their heritage. She had written a letter filled with every sad and angry word she had for the island, for taking her father away. Again. There was another letter to her father, filled with her love and appreciation for the brief time they had as a family. She added them to the pyre, hoping her own grief would be burn away with them. There was a new chapter starting in her life now, filled with love and hope for the future.

She stepped back when the pyre was lit and walked over to her mother, giving a little wave to her siblings in the stroller. They'd grow up knowing they had a father that loved them, and wanted only the best for their family. She'd tell them not to be sad - that he was needed as lord protector back in his home and he'd always love them. And she'd do her best to make sure her mother wasn't sad either. "Hi." She said, standing next to her.
