Shifting, Rhys shook his head. "I think in times like these, it's everyone. Not just you, not her, not only the people who said a particular phrase." He sipped. "I don't think this woman ridiculous to be concerned, and she is right that you cannot be sure an accident would not happen. How she said it was wrong. But... Even I have often said the same thing. Oh, I'm the high lord, it won't happen to me. I'm the most intelligent and cunning man, it won't happen to me. But then it happens and no one wants to be the person that it happened to, no one wants to be the person who said I Told You So."
He leaned back on an arm and raised his drink, letting the ice cubes in the glass cling around as he moved the container in a swirl.
