Peggy crossed her brow softly and sighed a little. She couldn't deny that she hadn't thought about it, when the pain of it became too much to bear. Their lives were so damn entwined that leaving him was almost an impossibility, no matter how she felt. Peg wondered why she was the one comforting him, she guessed he truly did regret what he had done when he looked so destroyed.
"I... I'm not going to leave you, Bucky. But I can't click my fingers and make it better. We need to work at it." she tried to explain. Losing Bucky meant losing Steve too since he would always choose Bucky over her. It was just an inevitability when they had a far deeper connection than anyone she knew.
