He looked over her at Steve. Another sob wracked his whole body as he bent over her hand. He tried to keep it as quiet, to nothing more than the puffs of breath, and sucking in of sharp sniffles. He had intended on begging her to go into the other room, as not to wake the other man. But those words wouldn't come. Those words didn't fall from his tongue as he wept.
"I'm sorry. I'm so so so sorry." Pain etched in Bucky's tone, as he spoke around the solid lump in his throat. "I do love you. I do. I do." It was like he was begging her to believe him. As if his life depended on it.
But it didn't help his sobbing. Which only intensified until his whole body shook. He barely held back the light keening that broke free as if of it's own will.
