Maggie petted Toby's hand gently, giving him the occasional scratch behind his ear as she had done for Thor.
"She must be glad you know her now." On any other day, Will's words would have caused a rush of questions from Maggie. She was always curious about others like her, who only really knew their fathers after they'd grown. Even that curiosity couldn't ice down her hormones.
"You made them their own spots? Maybe we could do that?" She looked to the nearest empty buildings. They might have to shove some books out of the way. It'd be worth it. Unless she was scaring him off by being so bold. "Or you could sit here next to me." She moved her hand off his arm and patted the space next to her on the bench.
