Smiling a bit more, Cristiano felt relieved she liked his outfit. He had never been the sort to don many layers or the truly rich and luxurious sea silks--he was just a commoner, a soldier, not a member of the royal family or the wealthy land owners. The princess and her family had always been so beautiful in their shimmering, embroidered, and beaded gowns and crowns and fashionable jackets. Though he had never truly wanted to wear such finery he was certain a good suit never could harm an important meeting.
"Thank you," he said with a small bow of his head, one hand smoothing down his chest.
"I'm glad you all like being in the water so much. It would make seeing everyone very difficult if not." Cris slicked back his infinitely curly dark hair as he spoke. "Do you want to put your feet up? I will get you something."
