((OOC: It's okay!! I had trouble writing it, anyway, and would rather play off you both. :) It's been a weirdly busy couple of days, otherwise this would've gone up sooner.))
Arthur started at the sound of the something heavy hitting the ground, and his sword came up automatically when a man who was clearly a warrior stepped into view. He had opened his mouth to retort against the warrior's initial remarks, but the woman spoke first-- and what she said made him change what he was about to say.
"Excuse me, a 'weirdo'? What the hell is that is that supposed to mean? And of course, I'm human." His attention was now divided between the two of them, not yet decided who posted the greater threat: the woman with the witch's face (and thus potentially her powers), or her physically able companion. In trying to figure that out, it took a beat for what she said to totally register.
She had introduced the man as the God of Thunder. Truly? Was that what he called himself? Well, it was unlikely that most people would argue the point, on appearance alone. While Arthur would hardly be so bold as to claim godhood, he had a legitimate title to present. Lifting his chin a hair, he declared, "Arthur Pendragon, King of Camelot."
It was not until it was out of his mouth that he realized the woman really had no idea whom he was. Morgana would never be able to so effectively pretend not to know him. He stood up out of his readied stance, sword dropping to his side. "You honestly did not know that, did you?"
Did that mean that this situation was all as she had said, rather than being the lies of a witch? It could not be true...
