Arthur Pendragon ([info]pendragon_jr) wrote in [info]spinningcompass,
At being called "boy," Arthur's eyebrows lifted. Never once in their entire lives had Morgana referred to him like that. That realization made him begin to notice a few other things that were not as he knew them: her dress, while not completely exotic, was unlike any he'd seen before; her hair did not look like it had been caught in a perpetual windstorm; her color appeared far healthier than it had in years... nor had he ever seen her take a posture like she was currently doing. Morgana had not even liked to show outward weakness when she had been his friend.

Whilst he was hardly about to trust this person, he had to admit to himself that something was off-- even though the mention of her being able to kill him rang familiar enough. He would not return his sword to its sheath, but he did lower it a fraction. "If you wish to convince me that you are not hostile, answering my question would be a good beginning. What is this place?"

It would take more than that to make him believe she was not about to brain him, but it was a start.
