"Oh that is lucky." She glanced over at the horse, he was the only thing she had from home, anymore. She stroked her hand over the horse's curled mane.
"They pick up things that humans wouldn't. Or so I'm told." Marian smiled at him. She'd forgotten how endearingly awkward he was at first. "I was on my way back home anyway. Would you like to try to ride him? I'm sure I can keep him calm." She nodded toward the horse, not wanting to make Chuck walk after the trip he had just made.
