Peggy blushed lightly; he had known all along about her little cheats when fresh food was harder to come by during the winter and hadn't said anything aloud to her. She looked down and picked up her fork again to eat when he suddenly deposited more on her plate.
"I'm okay, I'm not exactly eating for two anymore..." Peg said but left the chicken on her plate. "Besides, I've gone without before so you lot can have proper meals. It's what we did during the war," she said, remembering how rationing had affected her weight so drastically in the beginning. "Take what you need, Steve."
