Steve ate the way he always did, with a polite eagerness. His constant hunger was something he'd mostly grown used to he still had some hang ups with his food, worrying that he'd take too much or get overzealous and be rude. "I can see how that'd work." He was surprised by the kiss but returned it with love, glad to feel she was enjoying herself so far.
"I guess we'll just have to practice more then." He'd seen during the day that they were really getting the hang of things, he or Bucky could easily watch the kids on their own for a little while if the other wanted to cook with Peggy. He chuckled and turned his hand over, holding hers lightly. "Promise, I won't stop peeling the potatoes." He hadn't been much fond of them when he'd first woken up having had far too many that were far too bland before and during the war but now that he wasn't angry and bitter and sad the way he'd been he was better about it all, they were really more of a comfort food now, reminding him of his mother and the food she'd make him. It helped too that he loved the way Peggy cooked them.
