With the promise of hot chocolate and a brownie, Buffy dressed in jeans and a tank, tying her hair up in a well-known bun, and headed for the diner. Being here was like nothing Buffy had ever experienced, but knowing Giles was present did give the slayer some comfort. Some. This place was more unpredictable than Sunnydale and considering it was over a Hellmouth, that was saying something, wasn't it? Still, the slayer was impressed. Here, there was a very severe lack of danger and where she should have been relieved, it worried her instead. So much peace, so much calm, was an impossibility even in a world far from any other and Buffy had experienced too much to expect anything other than trouble, especially with such tranquility. What secrets did this place possess? Buffy hated waiting to find out. Besides, if anything happen to Giles, the blond would never forgive herself.
Then again, she was dead and maybe this was some screwed up sense of death. So far, they all exclaimed it was a Neverland, but as much as Buffy believed in any form of the forces of darkness, Peter Pan was not one of them. Fairy tales? Not Buffy's thing, unless they involved something of a ghost variety. Still, no other explanation had surfaced and Buffy hoped Giles would have something offer along with a tasty brownie and chocolate rush, but...how long had he been here? The thought crossed her mind that perhaps Giles had been there a much longer time than Buffy. It wasn't a 'perhaps' it was the truth. What did he develop here? His life?
While the thought worried Buffy, she refused to walk away from the only actual father figure she had ever known. Besides, chocolate? No way was she refusing a free chocolate rush. Offering a welcoming smile to those exciting, Buffy stepped inside, the smell of food, a delicious blossom of every kind filled her nose and she inhaled deeply. Spotting Giles, the slayer made her way over and slipped into the seat opposite her Watcher. "So...where's my brownie?" Buffy teased.
