Oh, kriff. Luke smiled, and all Obi-Wan could see was Anakin, smiling over at him as they left the council chambers with another successful mission under their belt. He forced his memories away, however, and concentrated on the moment. His own Master would have been proud, he thought.
"You will find that the confusion generated by this place never really goes away," he said, "but you do learn how to cope with it. Here can be a strange place, and cruel sometimes; people are sent away with no warning at times, and whoever or whatever is in control likes to toy with people for their own amusement. People have switched bodies before now, or woken up as children when previously they were grown adults, or any number of different things. But sometimes this place is kind, reuniting families that have been torn apart and giving people one more chance. Believe me, I am very thankful for this extra chance."
He smiled properly at Luke as he spoke, letting his hand rest on the other man's shoulder as he did so, and then turned so that he could walk beside him. "Please, come this way. I can try and answer some of your questions as we head back to the Temple. Have you any belongings you wish to bring with you?"
