"Stop running yourself down, Rey," Obi-Wan said, speaking firmly. "You have survived for how long on your own? Learning all manner of things about all different types of ships and droids. How many languages do you speak? Finn tells me you're an excellent pilot, and I can tell you now, people who aren't clever enough do not become excellent pilots, or work out how to shoot ships out of the sky when their guns are jammed. You are capable, you are intelligent, you clearly know how to think on your feet, and you need to start believing in yourself. Finn does. I'm sure Poe does. I wouldn't have offered to train you if I didn't believe in you. Most importantly, the Force itself believes in you. And yet you have repeatedly told me in the space of less than half an hour that you're not clever enough, you're not good enough and even your own family didn't want you."
He reached over and put his hand on her knee as he spoke. "A very wise Jedi once said that there are no accidents. We are where we are because the Force wills it. You are here because the Force decided it. The Force thinks you are clever enough, you are good enough, and if you could only see the potential you carry within you, you would understand why the Force wants you. Stop doubting yourself and take your first steps on the path to becoming the Jedi you are destined to become."
