James didn't feel quite so strongly about it as all that, but perhaps he was more used to keeping his emotions suppressed. He was just thankful that she was old enough to be independent. She didn't require that much effort. Poor girl.
Really, he was at a loss, but he did manage to give her a bit of a smile and a shake of the head at her odd suggestion. "I think she's probably to want a visiting schedule," he reminded her, a little amused despite how rubbish the situation was. "I don't know. I haven't been doing much different, honestly," he admitted. "Jesus, listen to us. Come on, it's not all so bad," he insisted, giving her a bit of a friendly nudge to the arm. "She's a nice girl. We must've done something right, in one world."
