"Nothing particularly exciting," he admitted. "The darkness was..." he trailed off, and shrugged. It was weird, there weren't really any words for it. "And getting used to having Isa around," he added. Even weirder.
"Mm, nothing like a bit of teenage angst," he mused; especially odd given that there was such a little age gap between her and her daughter. But he could understand it. It was a reaction from grief, something he understood only too well.
