Abi didn't miss the flash of a frown and wondered if she'd said something wrong. Still, he didn't seem angry or upset and she could usually tell if he was either of those things. Instead, she brushed it off and let her eyes slide closed for the few minutes she'd have left before having to go back and close up the bar for Mike.
"Touching and talking is destroying me right now, moron," she teased, humming softly at his fingers in her hair. "Literary genius or not, you shouldn't lead a girl on when she has three minutes before getting dressed to go back to work."
