Finn nodded at her question, a slow grin touching his lips at her amusement. Which quickly grew into a face splitting smile, when she complimented him. "Well gee, Princess, I don't know if he is or not. I don't usually judge other guys. I could be a huge disappointment if you ever meet him." He couldn't pass up the chance to tease her back, could he? It was really good to see her smile. To have her teasing him. To tease back. He hated the thought that maybe he'd taken that from her. With what he'd done. With his death.
He could see her ticking. See things changing quickly. So he shifted gears. At least he was going to until she apologized. It was then that he closed the distance between them. He was currently well fed, sure it was supper time, and he was hungry, but he didn't get the chance that often to make sure she knew how he felt about the matter. "I'm not. I mean I am about what I did to end up there. But I'm not sorry that it was you. Someone I loved. Someone who loved me back. I'm not dead now, but I know I would have died with some dignity at your hand. I wouldn't have had any at the Commander's." Or pretty much anyone else's on the ground. She had to be the kindest death anyone received. Because she wore the guilt like a lead lined coat.
"Eat whatever you want, princess. I haven't found anything yet that I didn't like." She knew most of the people that they had left behind had to be half starved. Even if things were a little better with the Ark on the ground.
