Rikku. Loved. Muffins.
And the cafeteria at Cheshire Crossings seemed to have a pretty decent bakery actually, if brunch was anything to go by. The blueberry muffins looked relatively fresh and tasty, and Rikku had skipped her planned trip to Starbucks that morning in order to ensure she arrived on time for work, early even, so that she could check in and make herself at home before her shift officially started at eight.
Which meant her stomach had been rumbling ridiculously for the past few hours, but hey, that meant it was just worth the wait, right?
With a bottle of juice in one hand and a huge blueberry muffin in the other, Rikku made her way to one of the empty tables and sat down, her cotton-candy-coloured scrubs standing out from those of the other staff members that may currently also be occupying the cafeteria. She shook the juice well and cracked it open, taking a sip and placing it on the table as she read through the files she'd been given - brief outlines on all of the patients at Cheshire that she would be assisting with.
She wanted to get a head start so she knew exactly what she was doing and exactly what to expect. Some of the cases looked... really, really crazy, actually. Still, after handling Brother, you could handle anything, in her honest opinion. He'd definitely been hard to deal with.
