Once the Captain and Miss Bishop had departed, Spock turned his full attention to Captain Harkness. His attention had previously been divided between the prisoners, and, although he considered the woman to be potentially the most dangerous of the two, he did not believe that Jack was anything close to harmless. (Although he had accepted the Captain's decision, and the Captain's orders, he was not sure he trusted the pair. Not yet.)
"It is a short journey to the ship's science facilities," he said, "Follow me."
He did not call the man 'Captain' - perhaps in unspoken disapproval, or perhaps simply because his rank did not come from Starfleet and he was not Spock's Captain - but his tone was measured and polite nevertheless. It was a start.
"Sure thing, Officer." Jack smirked at Spock and had no problem following him. He could check out the man's body that way. He made sure to stay a step or two behind, not only for that reason but because this wasn't his ship either.
He licked his lips, liking what he saw but doubting highly the man liked sex at all. Probably like the Doctor, asexual, bordering on eunuch.
"Jack. Call me Jack. Since we're on such great terms," he said with a hint of sarcasm. He might have even rolled his eyes.
“I do not believe it is appropriate for me to call you ‘Jack’,” Spock replied, leading the way to the turbolift, “Nor is it appropriate for you to appraise my anatomy as we proceed to the science facilities.”
Although it was illogical to assume that time would be able to pass more slowly in one part of the ship than in another, Spock suspected that psychological impulses would cause the time spent with Jack to certainly appear longer.
Humans could be most challenging.
