Of the many things to come out of the dalek invasion of Earth one was the discovery of how Project Indigo really worked, thanks to a certain Captain Jack Harkness. This of course meant now that things had settled down Martha was back on the project, and had taken it upon herself to test it out. As she saw it if you weren't willing to do something yourself you had no right to ask someone else to. Back in London she programmed the code into the bulky devise she had strapped to her body and smiled across at the rest of the team. "Well if all goes well I'll be contacting you from UNIT, New York in about three minutes," she told them. "If it doesn't. well I guess I'll be contecting you from somewhere else and booking myself first a first call flight home from wherever I am on my UNIT credit card." There was a third option of course, one that you didn't talk about, but there were always arrangements in place, DVDs and letters to be past on should anything happen. Project Indigo definitely worked as a teleport though, she had already proved that twice, so there was little worry that she might get lost to the Ether. With a last wave she pulled the cord and disappeared from the middle of the UNIT airbase.
Martha landed a little heavily on the other end, her knees jarring slightly as she landed on mental rather than the concrete of the base she was aiming for in New York. Straightening up, she took a moment to look around, trying to work out where she was and familiarise herself with her surroundings. The low hum of engines suggested she certainly wasn't anywhere static. In fact the place had a similar feel to the Valiant. Though she didn't think this was a UNIT vessel. Locating a computer on a nearby wall she went over, taking a few moments to work out the controls, because unlike the Doctor she didn't like to press buttons and hope for the best. Clearing her throat she took a deep breath, exhaling slowly before pressing the communication button.
