Thread: Quentin & Eliot
Ever since Eliot's sudden disappearance back through the mists Quentin had retreated into books, texts, and anything to take his mind off the fact that they'd never really got an opportunity to meet. He never got the chance to affirm that Eliot was in fact free and that the Monster no longer had claim over him in any way which included mind, body and spirit.
Thankfully there was a lot of stuff to pick through from the Egyptian mission and Quentin realised belatedly that he should be resting as none of them had come out of it unscathed though thankfully he had only walked away with cuts and bruises. Thanks to several people he hadn't been left to his own devices or given much opportunity to let the thick cloud of melancholy to descend too much.
Still it was definitely better to get out, clear his head, and obviously drink coffee because why not It wasn't like he was actually going to get sleep anytime soon and he was definitely craving it. Besides he was still trying to wrap his head around the fact that Margo was now here. On one hand he wanted to be excited about it but on the other what was stopping the mists from taking her away like they had done Eliot?
Defeatist, definitely, but realistic for sure.
"Quentin?" A voice called, jarring him out of his internal narrative, and he moved forward to collect the coffee he'd ordered.
