LOG: Poe & Rey
Who: Rey & Poe Dameron
What: Not so long after Poe's arrival - they meet up.
When: Around January 11th? (Backdated before the update)
Where: The path near HQ.
Rating: Low
Status: In Progress / Open.
Rey hadn’t been here so long herself before Poe arrived - the strange thing was, so many from their galaxy had arrived Names she had known, through stories, and tales of the Rebellion; the kinder traders, scavengers and general folk scraping out a living on Jakku had at times indulged her. Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa and Han Solo had featured - but also the team of Rogue One had struck out, and had as Rey had understood it, been the catalyst in every other step it had taken in bringing the Empire to it’s knees.
She didn’t know if any of them had learned what had risen from the Empire’s ashes some 30 years after it was thought extinguished. Part of her hoped they never did, they’d all made incredible sacrifices - would it be too hard to learn that war had broken out once again? Now Poe was here, and he’d been so certain the First Order had been defeated, that Luke had come back to aid them ..and Finn had survived what Kylo Ren had done to him. When it came down to it, Rey found herself only truly needing to know, that the person she cared about most, was going to be alright. Whilst it’d been one thing to leave him behind for the important mission Leia had entrusted her with - it was another to be stuck here, uncertain if she’d ever see Finn again.
As for Poe? She’d spotted him on the main road that wrapped around Equilibrium, from a window at Headquarters - maybe it was a little odd to head downstairs to greet him, but she’d not been so confident just how to spark up a conversation, at this stage he was one of the few who knew close the time she’d come from best, not decades in the past. “Poe- Hi.” She gave him a wave of sorts, slightly awkward about keeping her distance, they’d never met properly, had they? He was one of, if not the best pilot Leia had, hard to ignore the chatter around base, even if she’d not been part of the resistance for a long time. Though it was fading as the days passed and she was growing used to it all, she felt so out of place here, only wanting to help. “Are you settling in alright?" Rey's attention partly stolen to keep an eye out for his little droid that she was extremely fond of.
