SHERLOCK & ENOLA HOLMES

I know you're both British and thus not prone to Thanksgiving shenanigans, Arthur and I don't tend to bother either. Usually it's just him, me and our friend Rose.

So I was thinking we could have an evening of fun foods and relaxation. Some pizza, burgers, Arthur is really fond of churros too.

If you two don't have plans?

We do not usually partake in the holiday. So, there haven't been any plans made that I am aware of. I had considered spying on other celebrations to feed my curiosities...

But, what are churros?

It's a nice sentimental holiday, and I think a lot of people celebrate it differently, but it's been a good few years since I had what would be considered a 'traditional' Thanksgiving.

Churros are fried dough snacks, usually with cinnamon and sugar on them. Kind of like pretzels but a little different.

Do you prefer the more 'traditional' Thanksgivings or ones like you are planning for the four of us?

I would like to try some of this fried dough. Can we purchase some of the pizza from the shop that also sells fuel for automobiles?

Not so much; it's very stuffy and usually a bit forced. It's one thing when you want to get together with a lot of friends, but there's almost always one family member that doesn't get social cues or has weird opinions. I usually prefer smaller more relaxed meals.

We can... yes. We can make them too. You... You're eating gas station pizza?

I do not do well with stuffy or formal settings. So, it is easy to see why you would prefer meals like the one we will be partaking in.

...is there something wrong with gas station pizza that I am not aware of?

Stuffy is just less than pleasant to tolerate for long periods of time.

Other than it's from a gas station? How about we order pizzeria pizza and you can see if it's better?

I do not understand why anyone would willingly participate in stuffy situations.

Other than most of the modern curiosities here, the food has been my favorite. So, if we are to have pizza then I would like to try it from this β€œpizzeria”.

I think it makes them feel special, important. It's usually really upperclass people. Or people aspiring to it.

What other foods have you tried? We could do a big spread, have a little of everything. Have you tried Chinese? Thai?

Like Mycroft.

I have not tried either of those. I've mostly been eating what they call 'fast food'.

Oh, is he stuffy in your world?

Okay, I'll introduce you to the world of Take Out, it's like fast food in that you don't need to make it yourself, but slightly more healthy than gas station pizza and McDonalds.

He is horrid in my world.

Isn't all food 'Take Out' If you take it with you when you leave the place it comes from?

I have researched this rather unusual custom, given its history, and understand that its meaning and purpose has greatly changed.

Your offer is generous. I do not speak for Enola, but I would not be averse to your offer.

At this point, it's a largely individual thing. Some people like to use it to give thanks, some just like the excuse to gather family and be together. Others are entirely against it. There's really no right way to do it.

Enola seems willing to eat her way through this world and our food choices. Are you alright with a spread of randomly selected meals?
