It wasn't worth knowing Buffy would constantly put her life at risk for mine.

I left Sunnydale a few months from when I came here. I We decided it was the right thing and we couldn't be together. So, I went to LA. She showed up one morning, we were attacked by a demon, and ita blood mixed with mine and made me human. The things standing in our way were no longer there, but I couldn't fight like I used to as human. I couldn't protect the people I'd chosen to protect. I couldn't protect her.
