How do you handle having so much information?

Drink

Compartmentalization, but I don't recommend it for everyone.

You could try sharing it. I've been told that's sometimes helpful. Writing it down if you don't want to tell anyone. Learning to trust those who the information is about, depending on the information.

It's not easy, though. Having all that knowledge. But keeping it in doesn't always end well. As evidenced by the whole end of the world thing.

My brain is half dead. It's not meant to hold this information.

It's depressing, and its not something I want the others to have to think about until they do.

I had a thought today that I could get Alison to rumor me into not thinking about it. But I don't want that either.

You want to protect them, and it's hard, because you don't want the burden, either. And it weighs on you. Sound like the right ballpark?

Do you want to tell me about it? Share the burden instead of holding it all in?

Yeah. Basically. Like, why make them deal with the hard parts until they have to.

You're one of the knuckleheads I'm trying not to burden, Five, remember? Even grouchy 58 year old preteens get a break once in a while.

Yeah, I get that. It's rough. I had Dolores to talk to about it, but all of you are more complicated were busy would've thought I was crazy were preoc were safer were living ghosts. And I wanted to keep you living.

I've been here year. I'm closer to 59. Or am. It's complicated.

Write it down. Put it somewhere no one will find or just burn it. At least you'll get it out. And either when you're ready or more of us know, you can talk to us then.

I know I've literally never said this. But ... yeah, I appreciate the whole keeping us alive thing.

as someone who has time traveled several times at this point, I'm only pretty sure that I am 34. 10 months in the late 60s. 30 years in the normal flow of time. 3 more years in the early 60s. It's confusing.

I'd really like to believe this goes both ways, but sometimes I think

You guys are a pain to keep alive, but it's much preferable to other things.

I've literally had this conversation with you, and it's kind of surreal

You'd have been about 30 years and 3 months when you came back the first time. Depending on when you landed in the 60's and when you got here, it'd determine your age a bit. I'd err on the side of Not Quite 34 Yet based on what you've told me, but you can always go with 34.

If it's still too much, just know I'll listen.

I mean, I'm pretty sure I can't really die, but I'd rather not find out.

Yeah. No one really celebrates their birthday in their thirties anyway, right?

Yeah. I'm just processing things. It's been a hell of a week, Five. And there is a lot about alternate realities, and time lines that I just ... don't understand.

I'm functionally immortal if my pride ever gets that big so we make a great pair.

I spent 45 years not celebrating a birthday. I can't give an accurate answer, but I can say, sure, let's go with that, if it helps.

Sometimes you don't have to. Sometimes you just have to trust that they're there. And there are a lot of theories about it, and I know it's boring to hear them, so I'll spare you any details until you need to find something you deem boring enough to put you to sleep. Even if I think they're
