I've been thinking about this all day.

Is that rats? Because it if is, definitely those. The whole Thousand.

And the fifteen wolves.

They are rats, not otters. Someone thought they were otters, which would be far too OP.

I'm thinking rats and eagles, personally.

I mean, Rats are basically biological warfare.

plague rat gets eaten by a hawk, that hawk gets eaten by the alligator/the bear/the lions. With 50 rats, I've taken out those entire forces. Rats bite or pass along the disease they carry to the moose-things, or the gorilla and they've been killed off too. And if nothing else, they are weakened enough for the pack of wolves.

I think that's assuming facts not in evidence. What if the rats don't have any diseases?

They're still wily. And can over take the predators in sheer number.

Oh, for sure. That guy with a gun has no chance, especially since it looks like a scope-less hunting rifle with a pretty small magazine and relatively low rate of fire. Once you get down to the eagles and rats though you're starting a war of attrition. I suppose the crocodiles wouldn't have a bad shot if they could submerge themselves well enough to drown the rats before their exoskeletons gave way, but that's really the only sensible alternative to the eagles.

I feel like you are just partial to things with wings, Sir.

Alligators were a close one, I just don't feel like they are that useful unless there is a lot water around.

The wolves. And the gorilla.

Maybe if each group came in one at a time. Those two together could probably beat almost everything else individually, but they'd take some real damage from the grizzlies and crocodiles and while the gorillas are probably better against eagles than most other choices they're pretty badly outnumbered. And then you still have ten thousand rats to deal with.

I chose the gorilla because they're clever. Clever is important.

Rats are better at information integration than humans are.

Sure. I'm just saying, they're not the only choice that's clever, and there's only five of them. They're strong as hell, they'll absolutely pummel those lions and the bulls are basically just relying on their horns to keep the fight going against them, but each one has ten eagles and two thousand rats going at them.

Maybe they can do more than just fight them with their strength.

I would honestly be a little surprised if no one tried to make intelligent killer animals back home.

That's not hugely uncommon with radiation. The fetus starts splitting into twins but only gets partway. Could well be a little of both though.

Water monsters would definitely be on my list if I was genetically engineering killer animals.

It's probably different for people who've been in lots of fights for real. It's not really thinking about anyone getting hurt, it's just fun arguing about why the ones you picked are right. It's not the same as things that are actually dangerous, it's more like how baby animals play fight to practice or when people debate about which movie they think is the best. It's a thinking puzzle.
