I have a summer job. I was at the Museum of Natural History again, and I overheard someone asking the person they were with questions about the exhibits, but that person didn't know, and I did. So I jumped in and answered their questions, then I accidentally started a tour, and someone who works at the Museum already overheard me, and they talked to their manager, who found me before I left, and I have a job at the museum as a part-time tour guide.

You can come see me Monday thru Thursday, from noon to 6 PM. New tours start every 30 minutes.

Do you need anything to get started? New clothes?

Nope! I have a smock to put on when I get there. Otherwise, they're okay with my normal clothes.

Have you tried the know-it-all technique?

Like what I did. I just started answering questions because I knew the answer.

Probably works better for cute girls than babbling idiots with canes.

Do not downplay my knowledge and ability to teach people about the contents of The Museum of Natural history by calling me cute. I got that job because I am the best person for it. Period.

Show them that you're qualified, even without the experience.

Nah, I just poke my head in there and bother him all the time. I'm teaching over at Columbia.

How didn't I know this? That makes sense, though. What are you teaching? Any bridge courses for high school seniors?

Honestly, I haven't talked about it a lot. And summer session is considerably slower anyway, I don't really get started till fall. I'm teaching Contemporary Biology I and II and a biochemistry lab. Nothing specific that might get you interested but you're welcome to come and take a non-tour tour. I can introduce you around, show you the campus. I know those incoming freshman guides can be a bit much. Kyleigh is...a little exhausting.

Lololol!

I just finished my junior year, but I wouldn't say no to an unofficial tour! Columbia wasn't on my list, but if we're still here next year, it'll be Columbia, NYU, or Juliard.
