I had previously been working with Christine to set up a functional space for a joint effort with the established clinic and something out with the villa for a sense of counselling for those in the villa. But, with Christine being returned to her own world that had a little snag.

Thankfully, we got most of it underway before the world shifted and I’ve put on the final touches. So.

My name is Joan Watson, Doctor Watson technically but just Joan is fine. I’ve just secured an outside location for private counselling for anyone with addiction issues, anxiety or depression struggles or who just needs a quiet place to talk things through with someone. I am licensed, so where absolutely required we can discuss medication.

I’ll also be setting up a more focused group for addicts to talk in a safe space for group therapy addressing issues that maybe are our case specific. Feel free to message me privately if you would like to set up appointments.

[Dr Wilson]
I understand losing Christine might leave you short handed during crisis. Since I have no real fighting skills that would translate against powered people, consider that you can call on me any time during threats and I’ll try to fill Christine’s rather large, vacant shoes.

Is that just for adults?

It's open to absolutely everyone, no age limits.

Cool. I'm sure people will be happy about that.

Just people?

How's your shoulder doing? No more pop outs?

Okay, maybe me.

Yeah, but I put it back in. No ill effects.

You'll need to be careful with that, in case you pinch a nerve.

But if you need to talk about anything, I'm absolutely free for you.

No numbness or decreased sensation in the area supplied by the nerve. No outward radiating pain. No tingling or pins and needles. No muscle weakness, or feeling like my arm's gone asleep. I think I did it right.

[...] I've had this before, you know. Bruce calls it apathy.

Just be careful, okay? You sound like you've got a good hang on it, but let me know if you need anything.

In a chronic kind of way, or just the sense that you've been there before? Apathy is perfectly normal sometimes, but if there are underlying effects, it might be good to talk out how your feeling and working out why it gets like this.

I will. Thanks.

Honestly, I don't know. I've been like this before. Like, I'd get angry when someone bothered me. I'd stay in my bungalow, away from the others. It was all the alarms in the dome going off and needing to escape Ultron that shook me out of it.

Teenagers go through periods of apathy, it's perfectly natural to feel like you don't want to see anyone or be bothered, that you can be fussed doing anything. When it lingers for a long period of time, or when it gets harder come out of these episodes.

It is also a symptom of depression though, and that would be something to be concerned about on the long term.

It's not terribly worrying, unless you exhibit a lot of symptoms of depression, and even that is entirely treatable.

Like I said, apathy in teenagers is wholly normal and part of development.

In normal teenagers. I think we can agree that nothing about me or my situation's ever been normal.

Uh God is this how medical people speak

Your situation is far from normal, but you're still a teenager, and you'll still develop how you can. It's entirely possible that your situation is causing the apathy too.

You know, you can talk to me about anything, any time. No judgement, no expectations. I'm a really good listener.
