I found the journal he bought me for Valentine's Day- Today is a 'I am going into work late day.' Maybe, if I decided to actually move from this couch.

[FAMILY & KARA]
I-

I told Cisco I just needed a couple of days to sort shite out so we could actually talk about what he did and now-
He got sent home and

Yeah.

I didn't notice because Cisco supposedly slept elsewhere last night. So cheers to waking up to finding out your boyfriend got sent home while you were in the middle of trying to figure out how to sodding repair the relationship! I am losing everyone one by one

We can handle the store, Uncle George.

[Family + Kara]

I think I missed some-- I don't think there are enough hugs to fix this, but you can have them all.

Thanks, mate. I'm just going at like half speed today.

[Family + Kara]

...thank you. Sorry for the dramatics, kid. Just a shite day.

...is it wrong one of my first thoughts was "At least he doesn't have to worry about me mourning my daughter leaving now?"

Merlin, Kara, I know you will tell me it isn't my fault, but- the timing makes it seem like I somehow caused this. Which is a shite fault and my coffee is now room temp and maybe I should just go back to bed.

...I need a hug.

You're not at fault. Bottom line. Tell yourself that.

I don't blame you for having that as your first thought. Things got very... messy, but it's gonna be okay. It'll just take time.

I have all the hugs for you.

...I think messy was a long time in the making. Our relationship started with him not telling anyone about me. He said he didn't want me to just vanish like his last boyfriend.

I don't know why these thoughts keep popping up. Ugh, I just wanted a little space to sort shite out, not for him to leave.

He told me that, too, when he finally said you were seeing each other. Given how this place is, telling people or not... It doesn't make a difference on whether you stay or go.

It's awful timing. Whatever you need though, George, all of us are here for you.

What do you need? I can come over, I can handle the shop with Hugo, or I can drop off some food and sod off.

We'll start with a combo of the first and third and see how you feel, then.

I'm really sorry, George. You don't deserve any of this. This place is rubbish more often than not—mostly because we have no influence over these sorts of things.
