I know. I'm sorry. Something I do that helps is I think of a happy story--a book or a movie--and I put myself in it. I tell myself that story as if I'm the main character. It helps my mind focus on something good so I can fall asleep. And when I have a bad dream, I tell myself that it's not real, then I count off everything that I know is real, everything that makes me happy.

Not yet, but we're working on it.

maybe i should go get one of my books and read some of it to my cat. do you think that would help? that's a good idea for when i have a bad dream. i will try that next time. thank you.

I am. I got lucky and my feet led me to her.

It does that. It alters perception so we sleep through something we shouldn't, or we forget. Or we don't notice. So don't blame yourself for whatifs. Focus on the fact that she's fine.

I was woken up by Uncle Bene saying he needed help and to follow his voice so I did. I didn't know where I was going, he just said to keep following his voice and I ended up on one of the upper floors. Miss Bev found me and told me something was trying to lure me away to hurt me and that Uncle Bene isn't really here. Then the balloons appeared so we ran down the stairs to get away.
