I made the acquaintance of a woman today who responded to the provocations of a strange man with the deft application of a hatpin, a maneuvre it appeared she had had cause to practice. It's heartening to know that the women of this era only look to be dainty and non-threatening.

I imagine my brother has told you of me by now. Should you need a respite from menfolk your presence would be welcome.

I'm used to men. I don't know any females where I'm from.

I am the opposite. I was raised in Heven, where men were strictly segregated.

Angela, or Aunt. Whichever you find more comfortable. I have not had a niece before.

Oh. I only have Tony and my brothers at home.

I never had an aunt.

I have met James. He and his guardian reside with Darcy, your father's lover.

Girlfriend. I have been on Midgard for some few years but the vernacular is still confusing to me at times.

I've never done much else besides it. We were preparing for a war.

No doubt the language used wasn't appropriate for the young.

Men are frequently indiscriminate in their use of vulgarity.

It seems the behaviour of the more uncivilised of men is a timeless constant.
