My dad likes you so much that he and my mom (and myself but that's a given) would love it if you would join us for Christmas? You, Connor, and Alice. Only if they want to, of course, I wouldn't want to force them into a situation where they would be uncomfortable. But they are your family, and you're my family now, and when my Dad and I were talking, he extended the invite, and if this is crazy, you can tell me to shut up any time...

I was playing it cool. Behold my coolness! It was pretty awkward. I mean, it wasn't totally cringe-worthy, but it was a little daunting.

That is... wow. I will ask them, but I don't see why they wouldn't come too. I think Alice would like to be part of a family for a little while and I know I would.

I marvel at your absolute coolness. Well, at least the good news it that now that you’ve gotten the initial awkward over it should be less awkward from here on out?

I was hoping you would say that. There will of course be holograms of the food so they can partake if they wish to. It will be wonderful to have you all there as family.

Good to know I can pull it off when I want to, right? Right. Your dad's a good guy and, it seems to me, just wants to see you happy. So long as I keep making sure you are there won't be too much awkward. You'll have to let me know if I quit doing it right, cause I don't want to get on his bad side! Or yours, for that matter.

I'll talk to them and see if they have plans already.

Funny you should mention holo-food... Alice has decided to keep her true nature secret, at least until she's confident people are accepting of her. Only problem is it's causing her trouble at school because she's not eating with the other kids. I wondered if, maybe, you could replicate the glove for her? Give the kid options? She's been through so much already that she could use a break - at least until she feels comfortable here. I haven't mentioned it to her yet, because I didn't want to put pressure on you, so if it's too much, I totally understand.

As humorous as it would be, I would never in a million years dream of calling you that in front of them.

I don't think I'll ever have to tell you that you aren't making me happy, but in the unlikely case that something like that occurs I will let you know...my bad side is worse than his. ;)

I can't say I wouldn't want to do the same if I were here, given the world you come from. She deserves options, and to feel comfortable here without having to worry about the other kids. So, it's absolutely not too much. I would love to help her, I'll begin working on it in the morning.

There's so many reasons I love you and keeping that nickname from my students just got added to an ever-growing list.

You know I'd stay on your good side, in every possible way. I would want to know, though. I'd rather us fix what we have than get messed up because we didn't talk.

I don't think Alice trusts this world yet and I don't blame her slightly. Maybe, if Kara or Luther were here to keep her safe, things would be different. In her world I'm just the guy that led the rebellion, though we've got a bond here that I really value. I want to see her happy. And you're amazing and I love you, Morgan. Just being able to sit down at lunch would mean everything to her.

That goes both ways, you know- if I ever do anything that upsets you or could potentially fracture what we have in any way? Please tell me...

I don't blame her either. Just from what you've told me about your world, I can't imagine that trust comes easily. I'm glad she has someone thinking about her happiness because I've grown to learn that happiness is incredibly important. I don't know about the 'amazing' part, but I love you too, Markus, and am just glad I can help.
