The human body can function for a surprisingly long time on snatches of sleep. I know this, and I really don't feel any particular need to confirm it first-hand. Sort of wondering what they'd do if someone took sleeping pills and wouldn't wake up, though. It feels almost perverse to be having a birthday after everything. First one without Vision. First one since the world ended. I shouldn't be alive - does that make it a celebration or a cruel reminder? Guess it's whatever one I focus on more. Or maybe it's just both.
It's always going to be like this. Always.
They’ve just found a gene for shyness. They would have found it earlier, but it was hiding behind a couple of other genes.
Tomorrow is what I refer to as It's Cool To Still Be Alive (Nice Try, Universe, I'm Indesctructible) Day, or as I believe the youth call it, The Oldening. If I ran a bar I'd do half price drinks or something, but that doesn't work so well with medical. Half price colonoscopies, anyone? Not quite as appealing.
